NEW PROCEDURES ON PRC ECE RENEWAL OF LICENSE

PRC requirements:

​

  1. 2 passport-size colored ID pictures, white background, and with name tag

  2. Old PRC license ID

  3. Photocopy of your old PRC license ID

  4. Duly accomplished PRC renewal slip (update: you need to create PRC account for online renewal)

  5. 450 pesos as payment

  6. Photocopy of Certificate of Good Standing from IECEP

Requirements in order to secure the Certificate of Good Standing from IECEP:

​

  1. 15 CPD points; photocopies and original copies of IECEP (original copy for verification) seminars/conventions certificates (for self accreditation, see procedures below)

  2. 2x2 ID picture

  3. Old PRC ID

  4. Photocopy of old PRC ID (front and back)

  5. IECEP ID

  6. Duly accomplished IECEP membership form

  7. for Non-Members .. 25KD for IECEP membership fee for ECE and 13.500 KD for ECT (non Licensed ECE)

  8. For Self Accreditation (non-IECEP credited seminars/trainings) please bring orginal certificate to PRC

Ways to get 15 CPD points:

  • Thru IECEP Seminars and Conventions:

    • IECEP AGM (Annual General Membership) convention= around 20 CPD points.

    • IECEP Midyear Convention (held in different locations every summer of every year, e.g. Cebu, Bacolod, Boracay) = 15 CPD points.

    • Seminars by IECEP chapters (QC, Manila etc) = 4-8 points depending on the seminar.

  • Thru self-accreditation

    • Company Seminars

    • Training

    • Certifications

    • Self-directed Learnings

A. PROCEDURES FOR RENEWAL (complied CPD points thru IECEP seminars)

  1. Go to IECEP Main Headquarters, Unit 712, 7th Floor, Cityland Shaw Tower Shaw Blvd. ("Crossing") corner St. Francis Street Mandaluyong City (Tel.'. +632 687 7187; Opens Mon- Fri 9am-6pm).

  2. Ask for the membership renewal form and filI it up. Paste your picture in the upper right hand box of the form.

  3. Submit the accomplished form together with the photocopy of your PRC license ID and photocopies of the certificates of attendance/participation in IECEP seminars and conventions to the IECEP staff. Pay 1300 pesos for the renewal/membership fee.

  4. IECEP staff will give you your Certificate of Good Standing (COGS). Have this photocopied before proceeding to PRC Main Office. Wait for your new IECEP ID to be delivered at your preferred location.

  5. Proceed to PRC Main located at P. Paredes St. cor Nicanor Reyes (Morayta) St., Sampaloc, Manila.

  6. Go to Window Q near the entrance gate and ask for the renewal slip (small paper).

  7. Fill-up the form and paste ysur passport ID pic.

  8. Go inside the PRC Main Building and present the duly accomplished slip, the photocopy of the Certificate of Good Standing from IECEP, and photocopy of your PRC lieense ID in Window 18.

  9. Wait for your name to be called. After your name was called, proceed to a particular window and you will receive the computerized accomplished renewal form where your personal details are inputed from the info you have provided in the slip. The computerized form also provides the amount you need to pay, 450 pesos and penalty dues for license expiration (30 pesos per month).

  10. Pay the dues at the Cashier.

  11. Again, wait for your name to be called. Proceed to a particular window, then, you will receive right away your new PRC license. Just be sure to be early in renewing your IECEP membership and PRC license so that you can finish right away.

B. PROCEDURES FOR RENEWAL (self-accreditation)

  1. Review CPD Matrix.

  2. Fill up CPD Form 3 from (http://www.prc.gov.ph/uploaded/documents/RES_CPD_RevisedGuidelines_2013-774.pdf) page 18. Fill up also IECEP CPD Summary form (you may leave the CPE CU (applicant) blank).

  3. Attach your computer-scanned certificates or training certificates of attendance for seminars (company or non-IECEP related seminars), diploma/TOR/certification (Diploma program, Master's, Doctoral) with the two accomplished forms above. Send the files to the IECEP CPE Council email address (iecep.cpe@gmail.com) for assessment. Or you may process them personally at IECEP Main Office but you need to wait for a week or a month. Wait for their reply.

  4. In their reply, they will specify how many units/points you have obtained through your self-directed learnings i.e. you only accumulate 25 CPD points (short of 4-5) or you gained 60 CPD points through your CPE self-directed. Follow, their instructions as said in their email (e.g payment of CPE fees thru their bank account of 30 pesos per CPD unit, maximum/ceiling fee is 1350 pesos). As stated in the new PRC resolution. If you have attained 45 CPE points/self-directed learning is approved by the CPD Council, you will be receiving a Certificate of Credit Units (CCU) for Self Directed Learning.

  5. Then follow the same procedures. Go to IECEP Main Headquarters, Unit 712 7th Floor, Cityland Shaw Tower Shaw Blvd ("Crossing") corner St. Francis Street Mandaluyong City (Tel.: +632 687 7187; Opens Mon-Fri 9 am-6 pm). Tell the IECEP staff that your CPE processing self-directed learning was done and you have complied with 45 CPD points

  6. Ask for the membership renewal form and fill it up. Paste your picture in the upper right-hand box of the form.

  7. Submit the accomplished form together with the photocopy of your PRC license ID to the IECEP staff. Pay 1300 pesos for the renewal/membership fee. Plus CPE/CPD fee of 30 pesos per unit if not yet paid thru their bank account.

  8. IECEP staff will give you your Certificate of Good Standing (COGS). Has this been photocopied before proceeding to PRC Main Office? Wait for your new IECEP ID to be delivered at your preferred location.
